In order to mingle and have fun people, especially young ones, are playing board games. It is a very social and entertaining way of passing time. Board games bring people together in a very amusing and interesting way and it is a great opportunity to spend time with your loved ones and in the same time they have fun and competition. A board game can involve pieces, countries, territories that are being concurred or moved on a predetermined surface called the board, according to a set of predefined rules. Board games can have some kind of strategy to be achieved, or can involve just throwing dices, but they all have some aim to be achieved.
As mentioned before board games usually involve a strategy or just some throwing of dices. Either way they always have opponent sides that compete against one another in order to achieve the aim of the game. In its beginnings board games usually represented a battle for territories or countries where two or more opposing sides are fighting for countries to get points. The inspiration for board games comes from real life situations such as battles, wars, winning over territories etc. The length of each game depends on the complexity and the number of players. The rules also vary from very simple to complex described in a lot of detail. Very often the complexity of the rules has nothing to do with the length of the game. For instance, chess does not have very complex rules, but still it can be played for a very long time. And so can Juegos Sexuales.
Every one of the board games has its own terms and rules, but there are some that are in common for most of them. Board refers to the surface where the game is played. Although not all games use board, like playing cards for instance, but most of them do and they are usually specifically printed for particular board games. Game piece refers to the model, the figure that will represent the player in the game. It can have a different form and shape and it, and the player can control one or more board game pieces. In chess, for example, you move various game pieces, but in Monopoly a player can buy houses and buildings. Leap means bypassing game pieces or sometimes conquering the opponent’s figure. Space refers to the position or the territory of the board that belongs to the player, as the game is played each player conquers new countries, moves its game pieces thus defining its space. Card is a piece of paper where the players read the instructions of the game.
Monopoly is a board game that has been published by the Parker Brothers. The main goal of this game is winning territories and making money. The game is played with dices and the player throws dices, steps into a territory and buys it. When some player buys three territories with the same color he/she is allowed to build houses and then buildings. The player that has bought the most territories, and that has the highest amount of money wins the game. This is one of the most amazing board games, since it is played a long time and it is very entertaining. There are other board games that have similar rules, but none of them is fun as Monopoly.
